About Miles & Company The name was created in 1981 in response to a need to affiliate with differencing needs of several companies serving the floral industry.  In 1969 Miles discovered a method for wheel throwing an un-centered ball of clay. This early Edo Japanese technique coupled with unfailing energy has made possible the past 43 years of pottery sales.   Miles Smith Pottery        Sales Affiliations 1971-74 By the Farm Stoneware Elma, WA  6,000 pieces          Local Gift Shops 1977-75 By the Farm at Seattle, WA        14,500 pieces  40 Floral Shops- Pike Place Market 1978 Art Pottery by Miles Seattle, WA        18,000 pieces  40 Floral Shops -Pike Place Day Tables  Olympic Wholesalers / Earnst Malmon 1979 23,000 pieces  12 Floral Shops- Earnst Malmo Nurseries © Lorem Ipsum Dolor 2010 Made with MAGIX © Miles & Company 1980 Miles & Company 39,000  pieces 1981 31,000  pieces 1982-83    Artist-in-Residence Far Best Eggs, Inc, Arlington, WA 10,250  pieces   30 Floral Shops / 68 Earnst Home Centers 18,000  pieces   Ft.
